The Fun is Over

Well, I hope all of the fun isn't over. The relaxing summer, however, is definitely over. School starts again in two weeks, and I'm already feeling mildly panicked over everything I need to have done.

First up is training on Wednesday for other people in my department on how to use the "clickers" to deliver the library instruction for University Seminar classes. That wouldn't be so bad if I already had the instruction presentation updated and modified for a shorter class period, but I don't. So why, you ask, am I blogging instead of working?

Auntie K is Smiling

She's smiling wide. She just placed a pre-order for It's Not Big It's Large, Lyle Lovett's new studio album. To take advantage of free shipping, she threw in The Very Best of the Eagles. Yeah, I know, I only save $4 on free shipping and the second cd is more than $4, but don't rain on my parade, ok?

I just get all tingly and happy thinking about a new Lyle Lovett cd. And by September 4, when it's slated to arrive, I'll probably be needing all the tingly and happy I can get.

Now only if Lyle would play in Nashville soon...

How appropriate, since it was by reading my mother's copy that I first learned to love that book, and it was my same dear mother who drove me to the public library to read all the sequels.

A Heartfelt Plea

Dear St. Anthony,

Do you help Catholics and non-Catholics alike? I sure hope so. I appear to have "misplaced" all my exercise records from the past 8 weeks of the wellness program. I had them Thursday when Andy handed them to me, and now, after a weekend of cleaning up for company, they've vanished.

I need to find these items before 7:30 tomorrow morning, so if you can lend a girl a hand, I'd really appreciate it.
