My family knows how sensitive I am to insect bites. When my topical quadruple remedy fails (Hydrocortisone, Benadryl, Aspercreme & Solarcaine), I resort to ice packs and oral Benadryl. So you can perhaps imagine my distress when after a couple of weeks of bites on my legs appearing in the middle of the night, I started to suspect the dreaded bedbug.
After a couple of sleepless nights and a marathon laundering session, I am happy to report that the culprit appears to be fleas. Yeah, still not great, and I have to spray my legs with OFF! before I go to bed, but much better than bedbugs. Mr. Pest Man will be out next week to eradicate the fleas along with any resident crickets and spiders.
