Last week was filled with home repair. Dad accomplished a lot, including:
- replacing the mailbox (while using the existing post in a masterful incidence of jury-rigging the likes of which has rarely been seen)
- clearing the front flower beds of their nasty, smelly red mulch
- cutting out some tree roots left from the tree removal
- remounting and connecting the TV antenna
- reworking one gutter downspout
- organizing the front half of the shed (some careless person had just been throwing everything inside as she finished with it)
- installing a timer on the front porch light switch
- repairing the back door latch
- replacing the grille fabric on one organ speaker
- hanging a completely uncooperative shelf
- priming and painting two large rooms
- removing a stubborn, painted-on towel bar
- replacing a showerhead
Too bad for Dad that he accomplished all of this at K's house instead of his own. K, however, is quite grateful, and feeling a little small at the same time.
